On the Spectral Synthesis of Flare Emission for the Non-Maxwellian Distributions
Jaroslav DudÃk (Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences)
Abstract. Solar flares exhibit presence of electron high-energy power-law tails. Additionally to that, a quasi-monoergetic distributions have also been detected using ratios of dielectronic-to-allowed lines of He-like Fe and Si. In this talk, we consider the implications of the non-Maxwellian distributions on the synthesis of optically thin spectra in the X-rays, EUV, and UV parts of the spectrum, including both lines and continua. Freely available tools for the non-Maxwellian spectral synthesis will also be presented.
