Spectropolarimetric Observations of Filaments with GREGOR
Horst Balthasar (Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik Potsdam (AIP))
Abstract. We observed small filaments in the vicinity of sunspots and pores with the Grating Infrared Spectrograph (GRIS) attached to the GREGOR telescope. With GRIS, we obtained spectro-polarimetric scans of the lines Si I 1082.7 nm, He I 1083.0 nm and Ca I 1083.9 nm. The photospheric lines are inverted with the code ‘Stokes Inversion based on Response functions’ (SIR) to obtain the magnetic field vector and the line-of-sight velocities. The helium line will be inverted with the code ‘Hanle and Zeeman Lines’ (HaZeL). High chromospheric velocities were already detected during the observations. In addition to GRIS-data we took image series at the Blue Imaging Channel using a filter for blue continuum and another one for the core of the Ca II H line. Further context data from the Solar Dynamics Observatory complete our observations.
